Though competition during the night was an intense, with all the performers delivering great presentations, there were a number of standout performances, including Ross, whose piece Helping Hand which was written by Russell R.A Oliver & The Most Honourable Anthony Gabby Carter, received two encores during the night as patrons responded enthusiastically to the positive message of the song. RS Cyclone with his Vegetable or Fruit and Kerry Mr Reason Neil and his Brass Tacks piece, written by himself and Sean Apache Carter and Anthony Gabby Carter also received an electric responses from the audience, who also pleaded for an encore performance. Other notable performances during the night was Lady Virtue with her piece Africa In Me, veteran calypsonian Bumba with Change the Sytem, and Christopher Cameraman Wood with Who get Kill Last Night.
