It is also critical that they are at the centre of what should constitute reparatory justice and what it means for them and their households. The Emancipation Conversation roundtable serves as one of the platforms for engaging our public on these issues. The Emancipation Conversation roundtable will be a stimulating exchange that seeks to bring the discourse of Africa and the Caribbean’s fight for freedom, rights, and justice to the younger generations. From these conversations, the Government of Barbados seeks to reignite within Barbadians the desire to protect and promote their national identity and to be guarded against new strategies of bondage whether psychological, economic or political.
