Chief Choreographer at Covenant Dance School, Valerie King said the recital would be bigger and better this year. “This is our first full show since COVID-19 thus it will be filled with both praise and worship and exciting guest artistes, door prizes and giveaways. We will have riveting choreographies by Keisha Dowridge, Danae Bascombe and Sara Brewster. The entire dance school from our kids to adults both beginners and intermediate will be dancing these exciting dances for our patrons,” she said. King added that the students who range in ages from three to 45 years, have been practising since April 2023 for this show, which will be an outstanding performance of dance ministry. “We are inviting all Barbadians to come out to Covenant Life Teaching Centre to witness our Covenant Life Dance School recital as they will be treated to awesome dance pieces that will leave them feeling refreshed. Our theme this year is inspired by the understanding that in some respect as a country we have been dealing with a lot. This show aims to leave you feeling refreshed with a sense of hope and joy,” she said. Tickets for the Covenant Life Dance Recital can be purchased for $40 for adults and $30 for children from Covenant Dance School, or by contacting 263-8744. Interested persons can also purchase tickets at the door on the night of the show. All proceeds from the ticketing sales will go towards the refurbishing of their dance studio.
