FTC hosts free webinar for retailers on Friday

Retailers in Barbados will get an opportunity to strengthen their business practices when a free webinar is held on Friday, November 17, at 10 a.m.

The Fair Trading Commission (FTC) will host the session, in association with the Barbados National Standards Institution, the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, the Barbados Fire Service and the Office of Public Counsel.

The areas for discussion include understanding consumer safety; and navigating consumer liability in retail. Retailers will learn about the importance of safety standards, consumer guarantees, and product liability, as well as their responsibilities in addressing product recalls.
