The continuing education course will introduce participants to the frameworks used for understanding trauma, while expanding their knowledge and skills about the techniques required by those working in a trauma-informed social work practice. Additionally, they will be instructed on handling the impact of trauma on a variety of client systems, including individuals, families, and communities, with a focus on resiliency, coping, and strengths. Registration begins from Monday, December 11, and ends on Friday, January 12, 2024. Forms may be collected from BCC’s registry, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Classes will be held every Wednesday, beginning on February 7, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Further information on the course outline, registration, and fees may be obtained by calling 426-2858 Ext. 5227.
