Run Barbados triple crown for T&T’s Romany

Trinidad and Tobago’s Nicholas Romany made a clean sweep of this year’s Run Barbados, winning the Fun Mile, 10K and Half Marathon events.

Competing in his first-ever Run Barbados, Romany clocked One hour, 16 minutes and 54 seconds (1:16.54) to win the Sand Dunes Half Marathon on Sunday and completed his dominance at the 40th edition of one of the oldest races in the Caribbean.

Barbados’ Darren Matthews took the second spot on the podium (1:19:18), while another Trinidadian, Elvis Turner (1:20:18) was third in race that had 221 competitors.
