Jayden Anthony Moore-Phillips of Price Road, Parish Land, St George, appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding a 15-year-old male on April 12. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence. Objecting to bail, prosecutor Verdon Forde pointed to the seriousness of the offence, the fact that the complainant had to be hospitalised and receive several stitches, and the strength of the evidence as the incident allegedly occurred at a government institution. He also stated that the accused was on bail from another court for similar offences. “We are going to ask that the court protects the accused from himself and others within society from him,” Forde urged.
