After spending a week on remand, a Passage Road man changed his plea and admitted to threatening a man by cellular phone.

Kensington Lodge resident Samuel Matthew Victor Agard, 31, appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court last week and denied using a smartphone to send an electronic communication constituting a threat to Peter Dawson on May 30.

When he re-appeared before Magistrate Angela Knight on Monday, he pleaded guilty and apologised for the act.

Magistrate Knight ordered him to pay a fine of $1 500  before November 29 or spend six months in prison.
