The Cutting Road, Haggatt Hall man reappeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court for sentencing after previously confessing to three offences. On October 6, 2022, he stole one wallet, driver’s licence, identification card and $320.60 in cash from Winston Campbell, for a total value of $460.60. He also admitted that on July 30, 2023, he had an offensive weapon, namely a cutlass and to having apparatus fit and intended for use with cocaine. “I am not a bad person. I just in need of a li’l guidance,” he told the court. Currently serving an 18-month sentence for robbery, Grazette said he was enrolled in several classes at Dodds Prison, including one for CXC Maths and was also receiving counselling for anger management. Police prosecutor Ralph Rollock told the court that on the theft charge, the complainant was in the area of Lionel C Hill Supermarket when Grazette approached him and asked for money to buy a drink. When the complainant took out his wallet to give him the money, Grazette grabbed it and ran away. When police arrived, they searched him and found the weapon along with the drug apparatus. Magistrate Burke sentenced him to one month each for the theft and the weapon to run consecutively to his current sentence. He was reprimanded and discharged for the apparatus.
