FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 451 Children who took part in this yearโs National Library Service (NLS) summer programme, Camp Vision, enjoyed a thrilling day out on Wednesday, proudly displaying their artistic creations in the bustling heart of The City. ย The entrepreneurial showcase, held at Freedom Park, featured an array of imaginative works, including necklaces, chains, purses, and various art pieces, much to the delight of both the children and their counsellors. ย Beverly Archer, the acting deputy director of the library, told Barbados TODAY that the campโs objective over the past four weeks was to cultivate a robust entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. ย You Might Be Interested In Empowering young people for positive living More than 20 join Green Leaders summer internship programme National Summer Camps from July 15 to August 16 โThe camp was an entrepreneurial camp [which taught] the children what it is like to be an entrepreneur, to be in business, or potentially to [explore] what future careers they might want to pursue,โ Archer explained. ย Archer also revealed that at the Tamarind Hall branch of the library in the rural parish of St Joseph, lessons on navigating the world of work proved immensely popular among the campers.
