Show Time proved she was the best of her crop dismissing Queen of the South in the Mum’s Pride Perpetual Trophy Handicap on Saturday — the first race day of 2025.

Trained by Kenny Joseph, Show Time ran seventh behind Queen of the South last race day —Boxing day.

Show Time went to the lead in the 1 570-metre event, setting  a slow pace in Front of one of the leading three-year-olds of 2023 — Indelible — who was coming back off a long layoff.

Under jockey Delano Lopez,Show Time  set slow fractions of  26.0 , 51.4 and 115.4 before sprinting off leaving her field in the ground in the $22,000 event.

Winning owner of Show Time Kenny Joseph, won six races last year and was placed sixth in the owners’ standings, which was good for the top 10 standings as he has a small barn.

Next race day will be on January 18. (KL)
