Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, already have two sons. A$AP Rocky thanked reporters who offered their congratulations on the red carpet. “It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” he said. After teasing the announcement earlier in the day, the fashion and beauty mogul all but confirmed the news with her look for the 2025 Met Gala—which her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky, is cochairing. Opting for a Marc Jacobs dress that hugged her growing baby bump, Rihanna glowed in its corseted bodice and matching cropped tuxedo jacket. Meanwhile, the floor-grazing skirt was designed to look like a suit jacket, with its sleeves tied to the back of her waist. Rihanna finished off the look with a large floppy hat, a maroon polka-dot tie, sharp pointed-toe pumps, and jewelry from Belperron and Vendura. The high-profile Met Gala is a benefit event for New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and marks the opening of its Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. A$AP Rocky, a co-chair of the event, confirmed the news on the red carpet. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” the rapper said. “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy”, he added. The couple’s first son RZA was born in May 2022 and their second son, Riot, was born in August 2023. The pop star and businesswoman made another high-profile pregnancy announcement when she performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023. She’s not the first star to reveal their baby bump at the Met Gala, the tennis player, Serena Williams and model Karlie Kloss both publicly revealed their pregnancies at the 2023 event.
