Police are investigating at least two separate shooting incidents that occurred on Sunday, one of which left one man dead and another injured.

The fatal shooting took place around 2:48 p.m. along Whitehall main road, St Michael, near its junction with St Stephens Hill. Another incident occurred at Nelson Street in The City, though limited information has so far been released.

In relation to the fatal incident, police confirmed that four men travelling on two motorcycles passed through the area and discharged several shots. One man was fatally wounded near St Stephens Hill, while another was shot further along Whitehall main road.

One of the men was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The second victim was taken to the QEH by ambulance.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any of the incidents or who may have information that could assist with investigations to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the District ‘A’ Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246. (PR/BT)
