She brings more than 15 years of community service and leadership experience, having started her advocacy work at age 14. She previously served as Prime Minister of the Barbados National Youth Parliament and has worked with groups such as the Pink Parliament.“I am honoured to have been offered the privilege to serve Barbados in this capacity,” said Trim as she thanked Prime Minister Mia Mottley, the Barbados Labour Party, her family, and the many organisations that shaped her journey. “I remain committed to the communities and young people I started with, and to the progress and development of Barbados.”Trim says she will focus on key issues, including education reform, food security, climate change, and creating more opportunities for young people. Welcoming her to the Senate, Prime Minister Mottley said: “You are about to enter a different phase in your life . . .
