Contractor facing theft charges

A 26-year-old contractor accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a financial institution has been released on $15 000 bail.

Jahbari Ronaldo Mason of Kendall Hill, Tenantry Road, Christ Church appeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court where five charges were read to him by Magistrate Jared Richards.

He is charged with stealing amounts ranging from $100 to $6 000 belonging to CIBC Caribbean (Barbados) Limited between July 16 and 20, totalling $16 850.

The matter was transferred to the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court where it will be heard on July 30.

Mason is represented by attorneys Marlon Gordon and Brittany Smart.
