Driver granted bail on indecent assault charge

A 35-year-old driver has been granted bail after appearing in court on a charge of indecent assault.

Nicolande Neil Lampkin, of St Barnabas Heights, St Michael, appeared before Acting Magistrate Jared Richards in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court and pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting a female on July 25.

He was granted bail of $15 000.

Station Sergeant Vernon Forde raised no objections to bail but urged that a condition be imposed requiring the accused to stay away from the complainant, including via social media.

After doing so, Richards ordered Lampkin, who is represented by attorney-at-law Simon Clarke, to return to court on October 29.
