Police come under fire

The Royal Barbados Police Force has reported that some of its officers were shot at while patrolling areas of St Michael on  Thursday January 17 around 9:30p.m.

“Police from the Anti-gun and Anti-gangs Unit were on routine mobile patrol duty in the areas of Chapman Lane, New Orleans and Murphy’s Pasture. Whilst they were traveling through the area of Murphy’s Pasture, police came under fire from persons liming in the area, who [then] ran away. Police returned fire in the direction from which the shots came,” the police said about the incident.

However, there were no reports of injuries by the police on the scene or any other such reports.
