Tickets for admission into the National Senior Games on Whit Monday, June 10, will be available at the National Stadium from 7 a.m. when the gates are opened to signal the start of the 18th edition of the games.

Admission is free. Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Cynthia Forde, will officially declare the games opened at 8 a.m. and this will be followed by the first track event, featuring athletes aged 80 to 90-plus.

Patrons will enjoy a day of fun, fellowship and fitness as athletes, aged 40 years and over, compete in a range of track and field events.

There will also be a number of special races aimed at entertaining the crowd, including a Mother Sally race scheduled for 12:45 p.m. and a Parliamentarians’ race scheduled for 3:10 p.m.

Everyone is invited to come out and support the senior athletes. The theme of this year’s games is: Live Well, Live Long. (BGIS)
