Agriculture Local News News BWA experiencing low levels at several facilities Barbados Today16/02/20201239 views The Barbados Water Authority is advising residents that as the extreme regional drought conditions continue, water levels at some of its reservoirs continue to read lower than normal. As a result, some customers being supplied by these systems will be experiencing lower than normal water pressure and/or water outages. The BWA team wishes to remind people who have water to be mindful and use this resource conservatively so that everyone can benefit. Our customer service team has received reports of outages in some areas and water tankers have been dispatched to assist. In this regard, the BWA Team wishes to advise the public that due to heavy demand and the fact that our fleet of water tankers currently consists of seven, of which all but one has a maximum capacity to carry 1200 gallons of water, the BWA is unable to fill personal water tanks at this time. In these circumstances there will be delays in the tanker service.
