New COVID-19 symptoms to look out for – Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has advised that there are two additional symptoms of COVID-19 which the public must be aware of and pay attention to.

According to the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anton Best the newly recognized symptoms are the loss of taste and/or smell.

The decision to add these two symptoms, he explained, is based on emerging evidence internationally, as well as local experience. The common symptoms previously identified are fever, sore throat, difficulty breathing and cough. (JS/BGIS)
