BRA: Phased reopening operations

The public is advised that the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) will have limited operations from Monday, May 4, 2020 as part of its phased reopening.

During this initial phase, there will be minimal staff in office and taxpayers will only be allowed in office to make payments.

The payment locations which will open from Monday are Weymouth, Warrens, Bridge Street Mall, Holetown and Oistins.

The offices will open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will follow the recommended physical distancing protocols and the lettering system.

From Wednesday, May 6, the Authority will reopen the Pine location in line with the reopening of the Barbados Licensing Authority. The processing of licensing transactions will resume at all of the payment locations on that date.

While the offices have reopened for making payments, the Authority encourages persons to continue using the drop box and online payment options available.

Additionally, members of the public are asked to use the alternative customer contact options available for communicating with the Authority.  Persons are therefore directed to use the contact line at 535-8239 for assistance, or to submit queries and requests to bramail@bra.gov.bb.

During this period of uncertainty, there may be delays with service delivery and the Authority would welcome the public’s understanding and cooperation. (BRA)
