Attorney-at-law Ernest Jackman sentenced to seven years in prison

Attorney-at-law Ernest Jackman has been sentenced to seven years in prison on theft and money laundering charges.
The sentence was handed down by Justice Pamela Beckles in the No.5 Supreme Court moments ago.
Back in May, a jury found Jackman guilty of stealing $678 414.75 from HEJ Limited between June 23, 2006 and March 5, 2007, as well as allegedly engaging in money laundering by disposing of the sum between June 23, 2006 and October 18, 2011.
