New traffic beacons installed outside Lawrence T Gay Primary School

The Electronic Unit of the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources (MTWW) has installed new solar traffic beacons outside Lawrence T Gay Primary School in Spooner’s Hill, St Michael.

They are to safely assist students in crossing the road. The beacons will flash during peak school drop-off and pick-up times between the hours of 7 am and 9 am, and 2 pm and 4 pm.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down within the school’s zone, especially during peak traffic times and to pay close attention to the pedestrians desiring to cross the road.
