Self-employed to file and pay Pandemic Contribution Levy

 Self-employed persons whose income in Barbados is $75,000 or over for the period April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, are reminded to pay the Pandemic Contribution Levy by Friday, March 31, 2023. The levy rate is 1 per cent. Payments should be made at any of the Barbados Revenue Authority payment locations.

This category of persons is also required to file the Pandemic Contribution Levy return by April 30, 2023. A $500 penalty will be applicable for non-payment, as well as for failure to file by the deadlines. In addition, interest at a rate of 1 per cent will be added for each month on the largest amount of levy and penalty that was due and unpaid at any time in that month. (BRA)
