Prime Minister Mia Mottley was welcomed by Cuba's Justice Minister Oscar Manuel Silveira Martinez when she arrived in Cuba on Thursday.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is out of the island on Government business and is expected to return in just under two weeks.

On Thursday evening, Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw announced during a post-Cabinet press briefing at Ilaro Court that Mottley was en route to Cuba to attend the G77+China Summit.

After that, she said, the Prime Minister would attend the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, from September 18 to September 26, before heading back to Barbados.

“In the interim, obviously, I will act as Prime Minister,” Bradshaw said.
