Police probe Swan Street stabbing

The stabbing victim in the ambulance after seeking assistance at Central Police Station.

Police are investigating a stabbing incident in Swan Street, Bridgetown on Friday evening, in which at least one man was injured.  

According to Communications and Public Affairs Officer of the Barbados Police Service Inspector Rodney Inniss, there was an altercation between two men, just after 3 p.m. and one man ran to seek help at the Central Police Station. 

Inniss tells Barbados TODAY the injured man received treatment from Emergency Ambulance Service EMTs and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. 

Up to press time, his condition remained unknown.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
