Football- Tridents lose 3-1 to Haiti

Despite an improved performance, Barbados suffered their second consecutive defeat in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers tonight, going down 3-1 to Haiti at the Wildey Turf.
Following a 4-1 away loss to Curacao last week, the senior men’s national team were looking to turn around their fortunes in front of their home fans, but it wasn’t to be.
Don Louicius opened the scoring for Haiti in the 12th minute with a right footed effort from close range before Duke Lacroix doubled their advantage just before the half-time break.
Niall Reid-Stephen gave Barbados a glimpse of hope with a neat finish in the 73rd minute but Bryan Lasbissiere restored Haiti’s two-goal cushion six minutes from time.
The results leaves Barbados bottom of Group C without a single point from two matches.
