Eagle Hall man remanded on gun charges

A 66-year-old St Michael man has been remanded to Dodds after appearing in court today on firearm and ammunition charges.John Mitchell Cozier, of Niles Road, Eagle Hall, was arrested and formally charged by the Barbados Police Service’s Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) with possession of a firearm and possession of 15 rounds of ammunition, both offences allegedly committed on December 10, 2025.Cozier appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 1, where he was not required to plead to the indictable charges.He was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds) and is scheduled to return to court on January 8, 2026.
