Hilton Barbados Resort spreads holiday cheer at Nightingale Children’s Village

To kick off the festive season, Hilton Barbados Resort brought the true spirit of hospitality to life with a heartwarming community outreach initiative at Nightingale Children’s Village, the island’s largest children’s home. Led by the  dedicated Food and Beverage team, the resort treated more than 80 children and staff to a festive day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable experiences.

 

 

The December 1 celebration featured a lively DJ, a snow cone station, delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, cookies and snacks, a jumping tent, and a giant gingerbread house – crafted with love alongside the children and staff.

 

Adding an extra touch of magic, Hilton’s Blue Energy Team, who are the champions of employee engagement and community outreach, prepared personalised gifts for the children, ensuring their holiday season was truly special.

 

 

Victor Torres, director of Food and Beverage at Hilton Barbados Resort, shared, “This project was deeply personal for me because I know what it feels like to be in the children’s shoes. It was important to create a day that would bring them happiness and hope.”

 

 

Sous chef Diego Thompson, who conceptualised the event, added, “Giving back to the  community has always been close to my heart. What started as a simple idea to spread joy quickly grew into something far more meaningful. Seeing the enthusiasm of our team and the smiles on the  children’s faces was incredibly rewarding.”
