Update: Barbados airspace reopens after disruption

Grantley Adams International Airport (FP)

Operations at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) are returning to normal after the airspace serving Barbados was closed earlier on Saturday.

The airport reopened at 2:30 p.m., according to a statement from the GAIA. The disruption was reportedly linked to industrial action, though there has been no official confirmation from authorities.

Passengers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for updates on the status and timing of their flights. (PR/BT)
