June trial in ‘King of Cheesecake’ murder case

A Westbury Road man accused of gunning down popular vendor Donason Husbands — better known as the King of Cheesecake — outside a Spring Garden cruise in 2018 will stand trial on June 2.

The date was set for Romel Hosea Marville, of Alkins Gap, who has denied that he murdered Husbands on July 13, 2018.

During his appearance before Justice Pamela Beckles in the No. 5 Supreme Court on Tuesday, he was informed that his case was being transferred to Supreme Court No. 2A for trial.

Marville is represented by attorney-at-law Marlon Gordon.

Husbands died from multiple gunshot wounds while in the car park of the Hard Rock Cement Bond at Spring Garden, St Michael.
