Duo charged with robbery, one faces firearm charges

Two men are expected to appear in court today in connection with a robbery earlier this month, with one of them facing additional firearm, ammunition and stolen-property charges.

Kemani Antonio Mayers, 20, of St Margaret Village, St John, and Shakoby Shakem Brathwaite, 19, of 2E Field Road, Parkinson Field, Wildey, St Michael, are jointly charged with robbery stemming from an incident on September 4.

Mayers faces four additional charges: using a firearm on September 4; possession of a firearm and one round of ammunition on September 15; and handling stolen property between September 11 and 15.

Both men are scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, September 22.
