James Paul retires as BAS chief executive

The Barbados Agricultural Society Board (BAS) has announced the retirement of Chief Executive Officer James Paul, effective September 1.
The announcement was made Wednesday by BAS President Henderson Williams.
Paul, a former parliamentarian and longstanding voice in the agricultural sector, was credited by the organisation with advocating on issues including local food production, food security and the protection of agricultural land.
BAS also highlighted his role in the establishment of Agrofest.
