Health worker remanded to Dodds on firearm offences

A female nurse was remanded to Dodds Prison today on gun and ammunition charges.

Forty-eight-year-old Donna Melissa Lee, of 11B High Park, St James is alleged to have had a .25 pistol in her possession without a valid licence on April 18.

She was not required to plead to the indictable charge which is alleged to have occurred in the Holetown District ‘E ‘ jurisdiction. Similarly no plea was taken on a charge of having five rounds of ammunition on the same day without the necessary permit.

Lee, who is represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens, appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Her next appearance will be in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on May 18.
