Cancer Support Services is committed through a spirit of volunteerism to the care of persons with cancer and to bring comfort and support to the affected relatives and dependents.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month,  Stephanie St. Hill, a member of the Victorious Ladies – Beyond Surviving Support Group of Cancer Support Services and a photographer/videographer by profession, donated two of her landscape photo prints to Ward C12 of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to be used in their treatment room. Having been a patient of the treatment room, she wanted to assist by improving its ambience.

In addition, Cancer Support Services presented ten Mastertech standing fans to Sis. Lisa Dodson of Ward C12 to ensure the patients’ comfort while on the ward.

This donation was made in keeping with the Charity’s commitment to Ward C12 through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Cancer Support Services.

Through this MOU the Charity provides sheets, curtains, pillows, training for nurses via the Palliative Care Enrichment Programme, etc., and most recently, the Charity updated the transition room on the Ward.
