K-Kids lend a helping hand

The St. Matthew’s K-Kids participated in the clothing drive for the Salvation Army sponsored by the Aktion Club of Barbados. The K-Kids collected five boxes full of clothing, shoes, comforters and blankets to donate to the less fortunate in the community.

President Rakira from the K-Kids presented their donations to President Ashley of the Aktion Club at the Derrick Smith School and Vocational Centre recently.

This is the second major community services project which the K-Kids have completed this term in spite of the challenges encountered by COVID-19.

The projects demonstrate the core values of K-Kids: Caring, Inclusiveness, Leadership and Character Building and their motto “Young Leaders Helping Others”.

This is the first major project for the Aktion club. Their next project will be feeding the homeless this Saturday at The Salvation Army.
