Brathwaite at helm of HRMAB still

Brittany Brathwaite has been returned as president of the Human Resources Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB) for a third year.

That was one of the decisions made when the association held its annual general meeting and elections last Thursday. As a professional organisation, one of the Association’s central objectives is the assistance of its members in adopting the best International Human Resource practices.

Practitioners, budding or practicing consultants and student members alike, are provided with opportunities to enhance their technical, soft, and networking skills while enhancing their professional status.

Following her election Brathwaite commented in her report on the important role and service which HRMAB was providing.

“The Human Resources Management Association of Barbados continues to serve not only as a source of information and guidance for practitioners, but an advocate and contributor to national and regional policy development.

In recognising that our most valuable resource will always be our people, there is a never-ending road for us to travel and with the continued assistance of all, we shall continue to serve,” she said.

During 2020, the Association welcomed the following new members: Pamela Cave-Small; Maxine Stanford; Clyde King; Sophia Callender; Shauna Clifton; Shamara Bascombe; Sherece Holder; Nadine McDougal; Niska Best; Alicia Jemmott; Jatonia Smith; Ryan Hope; Kelly Greaves; and Kamilah Nakhuda.

Brathwaite said the members of the Committee of Management were dedicated to the continued development of the association and of human resources. (PR)
