Weather update: BMS continues to monitor area of disturbed weather

The Barbados Meteorological Services continues to monitor an area of disturbed weather associated with an elongated area of low pressure located some 145 miles or 235 kilometers to the east of Barbados at 5 a.m. Monday, August, 9.

During the night, there has been no significant change to the overall structure of the system.

Convection continues to fluctuate and the system remains elongated and poorly organized.

Current forecast tracks indicate that the center of the area of low pressure should pass north of Barbados late Monday evening.

Recommendations to the public: Monitor the progress of this system over the next 12 to 24 hours. (BMS)
