COVID-19 Update: 48 new cases, 203 in isolation

Forty-eight people, 19 males and 29 females, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1,802 tests on Thursday, August 26.
There are now 203 people in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 4,789 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,342 females and 2,447 males) since March 2020. The number of deaths from the virus remains at 48.
To date, the laboratory has conducted 255,811 tests.
Public health officials have administered 106,178 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines under the National Vaccination Programme, while 93,220 persons (34.4 per cent of the population) have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
