Shouting man remains on remand

Kirk Douglas Francis (FP)

When Kirk Douglas Francis appeared in court back in July he remained mute, refusing to acknowledge when a Bridgetown Magistrate called his name or addressed him.

But on Tuesday as he stood before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes, Francis’ voice echoed in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court as he shouted: “I ain’t rob nobody. I ain’t rob nobody.”

Francis, 40, of 2nd Avenue Alkins Land, Eagle Hall was responding to a charge of robbing Paul Rollins of $151 and destroying Rollins’ cellphone on June 30.

The shouting accused man was escorted out of court by prison officers. He will return to court on October 5.
