COVID-19 Update: 108 new cases, 690 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has identified 108 new cases of COVID-19, comprising 51 males and 57 females. The facility conducted 1,582 tests on Thursday, September 9.
Of these new cases, 83 persons are 18 years and older, while 23 are under the age of 18.
There are two persons whose ages are unknown.
There are now 690 persons in isolation.
Since the start of the pandemic, Barbados has recorded 5,759 confirmed cases of the virus (2,858 females and 2,901 males) and 51 deaths.
The public health laboratory has performed 279, 853 tests.
A total of 118,811 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. Meanwhile, 96,158 persons (35.5 per cent of the population) have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
