Sale of Blue Vaccination Cards prohibited

The Immunisation Unit is warning members of the public that the sale and purchase of the blue vaccination cards, which are issued to persons who have been vaccinated, is illegal.

Co-coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme Major David Clarke said the Royal Barbados Police Force is aware of the activity where the cards are being sold for as much as $200 apiece.  He pointed out that this practice was strictly prohibited and anyone caught selling the cards would be prosecuted.

Major Clarke emphasised that the blue cards were not only free but should be issued by a certified health care professional to individuals who have been vaccinated. (BGIS)
