Prince of Wales to join Barbados’ celebrations marking transition to Republic

 

The Prince of Wales will visit Barbados to mark Barbados’ transition to a Republic within the Commonwealth.

A statement from the British High Commission said Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley extended an invitation to The Prince, as future Head of the Commonwealth,  to be the guest of honour at the Republic celebration events.

The Prince of Wales will also undertake a short programme of engagements in Barbados.
