Little ones enjoy career showcase at a Dacosta Edwards

Last Thursday was a very exciting occasion for pupils of A. DaCosta Edwards Primary.

The school’s Infants Department hosted a Career Day Showcase to consolidate the pupils’ focus on community workers for the year.

The effort was led by Latasha Belgrave, the educational institution’s early childhood coordinator. The community workers who attended to show the children what their various professions entailed were diverse.

The Barbados Police Service, Barbados Ambulance Service, Barbados Fire Service, Barbados Water Authority and the Barbados Postal Service were represented.

Among those who also drew much attention from the little ones were a nurse, school warden, farmer, chef, mason and a hair dresser. The children responded well to the information provided to them and had many questions to ask of the professionals.  (PR)
