Sagicor invites NGOS to ‘join hands’

Regional financial services entity Sagicor is inviting registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across the Caribbean to submit nominations to be a part of their new corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, Helping Hands.

The first programme of its kind for the organisation, chosen NGOs will be given tangible and intangible assistance in support of their charities, causes and projects.

Nominations can be submitted via sagicor.com/helpinghands, after which a review and selection process will follow. Persons can also submit a nomination via the company’s social media channels, as well as view the nomination video, which features team members from across the organisation.

One NGO each will be selected from Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados, and one NGO will be selected to represent the territories of the Eastern Caribbean and Belize in which Sagicor operates.

Robert Trestrail, President and CEO, Sagicor Life Inc said the initiative forms part of the Group’s Living our Vision Everyday (L.O.V.E.) CSR programme under its Community and Youth Development pillar.

“NGOs do the important work of bringing awareness to the causes that we all care about and that uplift our societies. They need help in doing this work especially as we continue in the pandemic, where support for many charities has diminished.

“We’re very pleased to be able to encourage them with this programme and are excited for the submissions that we will receive and later, working with the selected NGOs to help further their initiatives.”

Nominations for the programme close on June 17th. (PR)
