Wales trounce Bydes Mill 7-0

The Barbados Football Association Republic Cup competition is now down to the round of 16 as the last set of matches were played last night with Weymouth Wales among those advancing.

Wales with several senior Barbados players in the mix won 7-0 against Bydes Mill yesterday at Briar Hall with a brace each from Kemar Headley in the seventh and 66th minutes and Shaquille Stuart in the 54th and 70th as Nadre Butcher (sixth), Tyrell Rayside-Demendonsa (12th) and Ray Snagg (86th) contributed a goal each.

It was a goal-fest for Ellerton in the earlier match against College Savannah that ended 11-0. Anson Barrow scored in the second and 33rd, Shaquan Clarke ninth and 26th, Shakille Belle 11th and 73rd, Rashon Gittens 25th and 71st. Rosean Brathwaite (14th), Dario Harewood (63rd) and Romario Drakes (69th) accounted for one each.

At Valery in Brittons Hill, Wotton FC defeated Eastern United 3-0 and Notre Dame edged Parish Land 3-1. At Friendship Paradise outscored Technique 4-0, University of the West Indies Blackbirds trounced Beverly Hills 7-0. Meanwhile at Speightstown Deacons edged Carlton 2-0 and Empire won 4-1 against Cosmos. (ML) morissalindsay@barbadostoday.bb
