Flatt crowned champions at Wills

Flatt House celebrating their capture of the title.

Victor ludorum Joshua Franklin produced a sensational performance to guide Flatt House (Yellow) to the title when the Wills Primary School held their Sports Day at the Coverley playing field today.
Franklin, who competed in the Class 4 boys’ division, won the 100 metres, 200 metres and the 400 metres and also anchored Flatts to victory in the 4×100 metres relay, to capture three gold medals and one bronze on his way to being the most outstanding male athlete.
In the close battle for the title, Flatt finished with 790 points, while Loustric (Red) was second with 775 points, Brancker (Green) was third with 638 points and Rose (Blue) finished fourth on 537 points.
The victrix ludorum title went to Ocean Talma of Brancker, who sped to victory in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres and was second in the 4x100m relay.
It was Will’s first sports since 2019, and parents and children turned out in their numbers under the bright sunshine.
With friends, family and supporters cheering on every athlete, there was plenty to shout about as the young athletes gave their all in their respective events.
The kindergarten section took to the field first where they took part in some novelty events that tested their all-around ability and not just their speed.
With presentations to the top three athletes made immediately after the races, the events flowed seamlessly throughout the day.
