CARIFTA – Massiah wins second silver medal

Aaron Massiah provided silver lining for Barbados by capturing his second medal of the 50^th anniversary of the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas, in the final session on Sunday.

The 16-year-old secured silver in the Under-17 boys triple jump after registering a mark of 13.93 metres. The event was won by Jamaica’s Euan Young (14.32) while Guyana’s Ezekiel Saul (13.53) took bronze.

Massiah also clinched silver on Saturday in the Under-17 boys long jump with a leap of 6.49 metres. Barbados’ medal tally now stands at four ahead of Monday’s final day of action. (AGB)
