The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake which occurred at 4 km West North West of Hope Bay, Jamaica had a magnitude of 5.4 and a depth of 10.0 k.m. Prime Minister Andrew Holness in a social media post expressed hope that ” everyone is safe following that earthquake”. There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
