Nurses at Winston Scott Polyclinic off the job

Nurses attached to the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane St Michael have walked out of the facility in protest, citing several grievances.

Chief among them, longstanding environmental woes, including leaking roofs, mould, the presence of mouse droppings, mosquitos and other issues.  At present, the workers are engaged in talks with their bargaining agent, the National Union of Public Workers.

Barbados TODAY understands a meeting with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Wellness is scheduled for this morning. (RG)
